Specifications description
Application:
- Water-activated joint tape for gypsum boards
- Paper
- Roll of 76 m long x 4,8 cm wide (20 rolls per box)
- Prevents cracks on joints between gypsum boards
- First, remove the rests of plates and dust between the joints
- Cut a strip of Quick Stick 1046 size and immerse it completely into a bucket of water
- Place the wet strip over the joint and and smooth with a sponge or taping knife to remove excess water (re-wet if the band needs to be replaced)
- Let dry for 20 minutes before applying the finishing coat in two layers:
- a first layer with a quick plaster
- after drying, finishing with a light-weight plaster (never use a light or medium-weight plaster for the first coat)
- Temperature of implementation and conservation of the Quick Stick 1046: min. 1.7 °
- Fill the butt joints with large spaces, as well as the flayed sides of the plasterboard, with quick plaster before applying Quick Stick 1046
- In case of band not sufficiently humidified, bubbles can appear on the paper
